Customer Service FAQ
You Have Questions? Answers Below
There are THREE types of Q&A features on this site:
- This one is a customer service Q&A, mostly about topics related to using this website.
- Investor Questions Answered also in the Investing Education menu is focused on providing educational answers to questions asked by investors.
- A third type is available only for subscription service subscribers, accessible in the Investor Recommendations menu. It covers questions about any of our actionable trades, open & closed positions, or any topic in the New Subscriber Guide for each service.
Do you have a question that seems like it belongs in this FAQ? Feel free to ask it in the form below.
If you are new with us, note that a LOT of commonly asked questions by new visitors are covered on the First Time Visitor page, which then links to even more information in various features. It is especially good at helping new visitors get to know great places to start. Another option if you would like our founder- Sal Giamarese- to show you around the more popular features of the site: pop in some buds or headphones for audio and watch a quick website tour.
There are also some different questions covered at the top of the Contact Us page, focused on the most frequently sought-after help topics. An immediate answer may be waiting there.
Let Sal answer many commonly-asked questions in only 25 minutes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As a publisher, NOT an investment advisor, we can’t answer questions about personal finances or personal situations. If you need personal situation or money advice, that’s the domain of registered investment advisors and similar.

I'm new to InvestingWinners.com. Where should I go first?
Welcome to our website! We have a LOT of completely exclusive features, benefits, tools & services- available nowhere else on the Internet- that can help individual investors do better in today's markets.
You should review a very helpful, welcoming page, especially for brand new visitors called First-Time Visitor. Access it in the footer links under Resources.
Another great way to quickly get a feel of much of our very best stuff will come from watching the quick, narrated Website Tour, which is a link just below First Time Visitor in the footer, or in the Investing Education menu at the top of any page. Sal will give you a tour around many of our most popular features in a grown-up version of classic "show & tell."
All roads lead to a very smart suggestion in getting a Free Membership by clicking that option in the main menu navigation or Free Password in the footer navigation. A free password unlocks many of the more popular website features so you can enjoy them to the fullest. -
Why does your website look so different on my phone vs. my computer?
We use a cutting-edge approach to the design of the site that reformats the entire site to best fit the width of the screen on the device being used. Instead of having to scroll around like crazy on a little screen because a site assumes a bigger screen... or vice versa... our website is like 3+ websites in one.
Core design targets are common smartphone widths, small-to-medium-sized tablet widths, and then laptop & desktop (wider) screen widths. Each will present all of the SAME information in different ways to best fit the screen size of each device.
One good option when needing a bit more width on a tiny-screen device: ROTATE the device to landscape view so that the screen is wider than it is tall. This can be especially useful when looking at wide exhibits like tables & charts. -
How do I log in & log out?
You don't have to manually log in & log out here. Instead, our advanced technology will request login when you need to login and automatically log you out after you have left the site (or been inactive on a single page of the site for about an hour). So in short: just use the site and it will take care of asking you to log in when it needs it.
However, if you want to manually do either, there is a login/logout link down in the footer links. If it shows:
• log in, you are NOT logged in right now.
• log out, you are currently logged in. -
Sal, when and where is the next LIVE, educational seminar?
I do not think I will be doing any live seminars over the next year. InvestingWinners can reach more people on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and webinars are similar to live seminars... except people can attend from wherever they are instead of all coming to a single location (and dealing with all of the travel expenses therein).
The material is good and the experience of it was always fun for me... but the total cost- all-inclusive- was prohibitive to many. InvestingWinners.com is a fraction of the cost for students.
While I do enjoy the face-to-face lectures and coaching 50-to-200 people classes in person, I could only reach relatively small numbers of people over the course of a year. This vehicle allows me to reach millions of students instead of only a few thousand.
Besides, one of the things most requested by many at EVERY seminar once they saw that I really knew my stuff was specific trade recommendations. A big reason my team & I created InvestingWinners.com was to fulfill that immensely popular want. Our services offer a multitude of stock, option, and futures picks at only a few dollars per trade. If you were one of my students wanting my best, hand-picked trades, I now have something that provides exactly that.
Now... all that shared... I am not saying no to live seminars forever. We'll likely work our way back into that not too far down the road. Keep an eye on the website for news. -
Can I get a free trial or free access?
Yes, up in the upper right of any page, click the blue button marked "Free Membership" and fill out the form. Or get to the same place with "Free Password" down in the footer links. Within a minute or two, you can become a full member for free... with much greater access to many of the most popular features of this website.
While we do NOT offer a free trial to the subscription services, you have 2 great options to sample them:
1. Both are backed by our industry-shaking, 100% total satisfaction guarantee... which will refund 100% of the subscription fee paid if anyone cancels in the first month of their subscription (and then it's prorated for each full month remaining in the subscription after the first month if you want another almost-free month or two to pass first-hand judgment). You could buy a subscription, use it for up to about 30 days, and cancel for a full refund- which is just like a free trial with only a little more commitment from you.
2. In the About menu, select "Free Product Samples" from which you can download complete sample trade alerts and other issues, along with peeks at website-supporting features for subscribers. If the desire for a trial is to see what it's like for subscribers, those samples should paint a very clear picture of how easy we make to profit and grow your trading knowledge at the same time. -
How do your subscription services work?
Primarily and very simply through email:
1. subscribers receive timely email from us when it is the time or day to take action.
2. A click of a link in the email brings them to a detailed recommendation on our website... which is formatted with completely novice investors in mind, so they can basically just “read it to their broker."
3. All key information is in that alert except the one thing only each subscriber can- and should- decide for themselves: how much money to put into each trade. As a publisher, that detail is none of our business, nor are we permitted to offer any kind of personalized advice along such lines.
To quote a famous insurance company tagline... "even a caveman can do it"... IF Grog knew how to read… AND has a brokerage account with some money in it for investing. So if you are at least as sharp as Grog the caveman, you can do it too!
WHAT ABOUT EXITING TRADES?
Getting OUT of our trades is as easy as getting in, triggered by some automatic orders placed when your broker confirms the new trade is filled in one service or via a follow-up email alert from us in the other. The main idea here is that subscribers to our services are not left hanging on when to exit trades. We very clearly convey when we think it is the most opportune time to exit… either to take a profit or cut a loss moving in the wrong direction short.
AT-A-GLANCE TABLES FOR QUICK CHECKS AT ANY TIME
The services include 3 super-handy tables to make keeping up with all action insanely easy. The:
1. Recommendations table summarizes ALL current recommendations and other types of information stacked up by date published, most recent first. This is the “landing page” for subscribers when they click the link in the email alerts. The new trade is at the top of this table. You click to open it and see the trade details. If you like the recommendation, you can place it with your own broker.
2. Currently Open Positions table summarizes all officially filled recommendations, also stacked up as most recent activity first.
3. The Recently Closed Positions table is the most recent, officially closed positions, stacked up by the date each closed, the most recent closes first.
These tools exist to make being a subscriber as easy as possible. With quick glances, every bit of action is summarized for even the busiest subscriber.
EDUCATIONAL FEATURES EXCLUSIVE TO EACH SERVICE
The services also include 2 key educational features beyond select education built into the recommendations and related issues themselves:
1. Subscriber Questions Answered is similar to the Investor Questions Answered feature in the Investing Education menu, EXCEPT it is focused on questions and answers only subscribers should see… such as questions about current trades or educational concepts shared with subscribers. Subscribers ask questions and we post them with detailed, informative answers for the benefit of all subscribers. It's a great way to learn on the fly. Most questions are about timely things happening at the time, so the education feels towards real-time, considering whatever is going on in the world at that point in time.
2. New Subscriber Guide is THE QuickStart Guide for EVERYTHING anyone wants to know about each service. Think of it as a comprehensive handbook. It is created from all the questions we’ve ever been asked by subscribers related to using and making the most of the service. Just about anything a subscriber wants to know- include more details about each of the features referenced above- are covered in the NSG. When we are rarely asked something NOT covered there, that topic and a solid answer is likely to be woven into an updated version of the NSG. The goal is to eventually cover every topic in one complete guide.
3 MORE WAYS TO CLARIFY THIS PICTURE
If you are interested in getting an even better feel for our services, there are 3 great options:
1. Click the Free Product Samples option in the About menu to download sample trades and educational issues. Nothing paints the picture better than seeing examples of exactly what subscribers get.
2. Visit the Product Overview page at the top of the Investor Recommendations menu. It succinctly compares & contrasts the services to help you quickly gain a sense of common features and those that distinguish them from each other.
Lastly, you might do what many choose to do and just...
3. Try a service. They are backed by a 100% Total Satisfaction Guarantee, so you can try with complete confidence and cancel at any time for a full refund in the first month or a prorated refund for subscription time remaining after the first month. -
How do I subscribe to one of your services?
The fast way is to visit our Store page in our main menu navigation. Each service is summarized in brief and you can pick a subscription offer by clicking a button, filling in buyer information and becoming a subscriber ASAP.
If you would like to see more information about each service, each has a submenu item called "Subscription Info" which covers many highlights of each service. Towards the bottom of that page, find the same subscription offers and clickable buttons as the ones in the store.
If you would like to quickly compare & contrast the services to pick a best one for your own needs, check the Product Overview page, accessed as the first first menu item under Investor Recommendations.
And if you would like to pay by check & snail mail instead of by credit card/Apple Pay/Google Pay, there is a mail order form appended to the Free Product Samples piece you can download in the About menu. Note that paying by check is SLOW and may take WEEKS depending on the pace of the mail system and how long it takes a check to clear. If you opt to buy this way, we will email you when you are able to access the service and start a subscription.
if you want to have access to new recommendations immediately, we suggest using the Store or Subscription Info page options and buying with a credit or debit card. With either option, you can become our newest subscriber in just a minute or two. -
What do other individual investors like me think of your services?
See what many of our followers, members, and customers have offered on the Customer Testimonials page in the About menu.
In particular, our leader- Sal Giamarese- has been in this business for nearly 40 years with roles ranging from years in the pits at the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) to conducting many live investor education seminars for companies like Fidelity Investments and Online Trading Academy.
Review after review from DECADES of great work thoroughly praises Sal's ability to help investors grow their knowledge, understand investing concepts, and learn the right ways to profit from trading.
Visit that page and see what people like you have said in their own words. We always strive to be several notches above any other source of market analysis, education, and recommendations. Try us and see for yourself. -
I appreciate your stock and option picks, but I am primarily a futures trader. Will you be having more futures trading picks?
Our flagship service- Sal's Private Trades- usually offers between about 4 and 10 trading alerts each month. There may be a month or two in which we offer more option picks than stock picks. Most months we will have more stock picks than option picks.
We usually share only 1 futures pick each month in that service. Why? Many people do not trade futures even though it is our favorite asset class to trade.
Subscribers interested in more futures trades should join the Swinging SPY Futures Express service. It is an alert service that offers bull & bear swing trades on the S&P500. What does that mean? It basically flips from bullish to bearish to bullish again throughout each month, profiting from the S&P500 rising & falling during the month.
Futures-minded investors can trade the ES or MES contracts, and stock-minded investors can trade the SPY ETF. Every recommendation provides both options and there are typically 3-5 such recommendations each month.
Learn more about BOTH services in the Investor Recommendations menu. -
Do your services ever share any day-trading recommendations?
We do NOT send day trade alerts, at least on purpose. Many investors and traders tell us day trades are just too fast & demanding for their busy lives. Many cannot be in front of a screen all day, nor do they want to. They have jobs, appointments, or other life activities that need their attention.
Thus, we offer mostly swing trading and position trading services. While occasionally a trade will open and close on the same day, it's not the norm. Our approach of automating the exits makes it so that even those fastest trades don't require anyone's eyes being glued to screens all day, every day (except us of course).
Some other reasons are that we have found swing trading and position trading have a much better reward potential. And there is a monetary reason too: if one has 4 day-trades within a 5-day period, that trader is now classified as a pattern day trader. The trader gets 1 warning. If it happens again the trader must have $25,000 in their account or the trader will be restricted to closing only. This applies to stocks and options... but not futures. While many of our subscribers have more than $25,000, others don’t.
Day trade = Buy and sell the on the same, day. This is not a bad thing, just many of our subscribers don’t want to do it.
Swing trade = Buy and sell over a couple of days to a couple of months. We consider this the sweet spot in trading.
Position trade = Buy and sell over a couple of months to a year+. Not an investment, but still maximizing longer-term trends. Works great for retirement accounts. -
I have a new email address and/or other contact information that needs changed. Can I change it myself?
Yes and it is very important to keep your contact information up to date. In the About menu, choose My Membership. It includes a form in which you can enter all key contact information. Any new information will replace the outdated information you want changed.
-
I'm a subscriber who has been offline for a while. How can I catch up with any new alerts or issues from my service?
Our services all revolve around actionable email alerts, so check your email inbox for any alerts we may have sent while you were offline. If you are a very new subscriber, check "junk" or "spam" folders just in case first email(s) from us landed in those. New email from a previously-unknown source that references words like investing/stocks/futures/etc can get flagged as junk or SPAM even if you definitely want your subscription service email. If one or two do land there, be sure to tag them as "NOT junk/spam" so that future email from us lands where you want it: in your inbox.
And don’t forget that subscription services also come with very handy, AT-A-GLANCE tables summarizing ALL action with most recent activity first. The:
-Recommendations page has a table of ALL recommendations and other types of service issues stacked up by date published, most recent first. One quick look towards the top of that table is showing you basically a diary of all newly published issues from the service.
-Currently Open Positions page offers a table of all officially-filled recommendations, also stacked up as most recent activity first. That’s a great way to take a very quick peek to see any trade-only action. Looking at the top of that table shows most recent trades by date.
-Recently Closed Positions page offers a table of the most recent, officially-closed positions, stacked up by date each closed, most recent closes first. If you don’t see a familiar trade in the Currently Open Positions table anymore, it has very likely closed and thus transferred to this table.
These 3 tools exist exactly for this kind of need: customers wanting to quickly check current trades, holdings and recent closes. Take full advantage of them.
And, each tool is well explained in the New Subscriber Guide for each service. If you have not yet downloaded that essential guide, be sure to get it ASAP. It can be a big help in providing immediate answers to most questions asked about the services by subscribers.
All of these options are accessible in the submenu that pops out when you hover over your subscription service in the Investor Recommendations menu.
